| 17/12/2008 | American gambling sites have seen an 11% rise in unique traffic over the last month according the figures posted by comScore Inc, even though the majority of online gambling has been banned in the states since 2006.
Despite worldwide economic gloom punters still seem to be venturing online to gamble to get that well deserved and needed “big win”.
Many other sites have seen an increase in hits coming up to the holiday season such as voucher code sites and other shopping giants. Google continues to dominant the search engine wars with Yahoo coming in second place.
Meanwhile shares in the PartyGaming have rocketed from 9.5p to 148.25p in the past few days as hopes grow on them reaching a settlement with US regulators. |
